Paul McMenamin is a principal in POLMAK, where he delivers cost savings and configuration advice for businesses to make the most of their telecommunications environment.

Before starting his consulting practice, Paul was VP Engineering at Telchemy, where he was responsible for developing products that measure and monitor network media, enabling service providers to deliver reliable, high quality VoIP and IPTV services to their customers.

Paul has been part of the telecommunications industry for the past 30 years and started his career at BNR in Ottawa, Canada. He contributed to network design for MCI, Sprint, and a host of competitive carriers as the competitive market developed. His experience designing products for TDM, Optical and IP networks has made him an expert in understanding the technical and operational challenges facing network operators today.

Before joining the Telchemy team, Paul was in charge of the Optical Lab in Belfast for Nortel Networks, where he and his team received a UK Innovation award from Queen Elizabeth II. He has led
research and development organizations in Canada, Turkey, Ireland, the UK, and the United States. Paul holds a Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
